We are proud to offer the services of a fully licensed and experienced physical therapy staff to our members and non-members, as well.  

Physical Therapy is a medical science that uses physical means to assess, diagnose, and treat disease and disability.  Our staff operates in coordination with other medical and fitness professionals, including your physician, our personal trainers, transition trainers, and our golf fitness instructors.

After undergoing physical therapy treatment, many patients begin to incorporate exercise into their daily routine.  Very often, physical therapy treatment goals involve a home-based therapeutic exercise program.  Sumner Fitness offers specialized Transition Training for those who wish to expand upon their home-based exercise program by utilizing our state-of-the-art fitness center.

MEDICARE ACCEPTED:

Sumner Fitness is a Medicare provider for the State of Maryland.  All bills will be submitted directly by Sumner Fitness.  A prescription by your physician is required.

OTHER INSURANCE:

Sumner Fitness is an "Out of Network" provider for many insurance companies.  Payments for physical therapy are due at the time of service.  Each patient will receive a detailed billing statement to be submitted to their insurance company.  It is helpful to verify your insurance coverage with your carrier.

The above services are not included in the monthly membership costs and are offered at an additional fee.   You may use these services even if you are not a member.   Many health care insurance plans will partially cover the cost if you bring a prescription for therapy from your doctor.
